We are delighted to announce that Dr. Nuria Pastor-Soler, Associate Professor of Medicine, Assistant Dean of Mentoring for the Keck School of Medicine of USC and Principal Investigator at the USC/UKRO Kidney Research Center (KRC), has received the American Medical Association’s Inspiration Award, which celebrates physicians who have offered their time, wisdom, and support throughout the professional careers of fellow physicians, residents, and students. Dr. Pastor-Soler was nominated by one of her students, Jordan Juarez, whose research was in part supported by the USC/UKRO Kidney Research Center. This honor highlights the importance of the KRC’s mentorship program as it creates a robust pipeline of future nephrologists and kidney disease researchers.
