Dr. Andrew McMahonDr Andrew McMahon is a research professor in Caltech’s division of biology and biological engineering.  His group’s research has focused on signaling pathways and transcriptional mechanisms coordinating cell interactions underpinning multiple aspects of vertebrate development  with a particular interest on development, injury and repair of the mammalian kidney. McMahon is a member of the National Academy of Sciences, an elected fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, an associate member of the European Molecular Biology Organization, and a Fellow of the Royal Society.
McMahon is an elected Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and the Royal Society (London), as well as an elected Associate Member of the European Molecular Biology Organization. He has served as an editor of the journals Development and Developmental Biology, and on the editorial boards of several other scientific journals, including Genes and Development and Current Biology.
